Integrated Guidance Initiative 2023-2027

When implemented for the 2023-2024 academic school year, Integrated Guidance will combine six state initiatives: (1) High School Success Act, (2) Student Investment Account, (3) Continuous Improvement Planning, (4) Career and Technical Education, (5) Every Day Matters and (6) Early Indicators and Intervention Systems. All of these will come together into a single strategic plan that support the common goals:

  1. Well-Rounded Education

  2. Equal Access to all Students

  3. Community Engagement

  4. Strengthen Systems and Capacity.

Through our community engagement work, we have drafted goals that reflect our community's valuable feedback and align with the goals listed above.

    • Artifact #1
      • The brochure explains what the initiative is all about and a few quotes from “What you  had to say…”.  The back page lists all the District & Community Engagements where we collected feedback, along with the district outcomes we want to achieve and the strategies we are implementing to help achieve the outcomes.
    • Artifact #2
      • Priorities from the Integrated Guidance Survey; 247 people took the online survey.  This document reveals the demographic of how each participant self-identifies, as well as the results of the survey, listed in order of priority.
    • Artifact #3
      • Invitation that advertised the Student Listening session at Bridges.  Bridges is the district Alternative Education Program.  The students who attend Bridges have not succeeded in the typical high school setting, many of them represent the underserved population of our district.
    • Artifact #4
      • Cumulation of data from all the listening sessions and the online survey.  All the comments, concerns and suggestions were grouped into 4-main categories to be analyzed and prioritized.
    • Artifact #5
      • Picture from a school board work session.  After a series of listening, analyzing and discussing building concerns, the work session participants were able to break their focus areas into 5 groups, which in the end matched up to the community responses.

Oregon Department of Education State Reports

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) produces yearly At-A-Glance School and District Profiles for schools and districts. These reports, called for by the 1999 Oregon State legislature and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which is the most recent reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), provide educators an opportunity to communicate directly with parents and community members about their schools and district.

The At-A-Glance School and District Profiles are published each year alongside the Accountability Detail Sheets. Together, the At-A-Glance School and District Profiles and the Accountability Detail Sheets comprise ODE’s larger reporting system as required by the Oregon State legislature and ESSA. The At-A-Glance School and District Profiles were designed by and for parents and community members to be an understandable and easy to read overview of how schools and districts serve their students. The Accountability Detail Sheets are more technical documents that provide information on school and district performance, improvement, and each school’s level of support under ESSA. The At-A-Glance School and District Profiles do not rate or grade schools and districts, and they are not used to determine levels of support under ESSA.

Oregon English Language Learner State Report

The Oregon English Language Learner Report is an annual publication required by law (ORS 327.016), which reports on financial information for English language learner programs, the objectives and needs of students eligible for and enrolled in an English language learner program, as well as provides information on the demographics of students in English language learner programs in each school district. In addition, this report provides a tool that makes data on English language learners accessible to researchers, media, students, and parents.
