ODE State and District Reports

Integrated Guidance Initiative 2023-2027

When implemented for the 2023-2024 academic school year, Integrated Guidance will combine six state initiatives: (1) High School Success Act, (2) Student Investment Account, (3) Continuous Improvement Planning, (4) Career and Technical Education, (5) Every Day Matters and (6) Early Indicators and Intervention Systems. All of these will come together into a single strategic plan that support the common goals:

  1. Well-Rounded Education

  2. Equal Access to all Students

  3. Community Engagement

  4. Strengthen Systems and Capacity.

Through our community engagement work, we have drafted goals that reflect our community's valuable feedback and align with the goals listed above.

Oregon Department of Education State Reports

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) produces yearly At-A-Glance School and District Profiles for schools and districts. These reports, called for by the 1999 Oregon State legislature and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which is the most recent reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), provide educators an opportunity to communicate directly with parents and community members about their schools and district.

The At-A-Glance School and District Profiles are published each year alongside the Accountability Detail Sheets. Together, the At-A-Glance School and District Profiles and the Accountability Detail Sheets comprise ODE’s larger reporting system as required by the Oregon State legislature and ESSA. The At-A-Glance School and District Profiles were designed by and for parents and community members to be an understandable and easy to read overview of how schools and districts serve their students. The Accountability Detail Sheets are more technical documents that provide information on school and district performance, improvement, and each school’s level of support under ESSA. The At-A-Glance School and District Profiles do not rate or grade schools and districts, and they are not used to determine levels of support under ESSA.

Oregon English Language Learner State Report

The Oregon English Language Learner Report is an annual publication required by law (ORS 327.016), which reports on financial information for English language learner programs, the objectives and needs of students eligible for and enrolled in an English language learner program, as well as provides information on the demographics of students in English language learner programs in each school district. In addition, this report provides a tool that makes data on English language learners accessible to researchers, media, students, and parents.
