From the Classroom, to the Sidelines, to Administration: Bulldog Leader Gary Prince Named North Bend High School Assistant Principal for 2026-2027

North Bend School District is pleased to announce that Mr. Gary Prince has accepted the position of North Bend High School Assistant Principal for the 2026–27 school year. Mr. Prince has served the North Bend community for the past 25 years as an educational assistant, teacher, coach, and interim assistant principal dedicating himself to the success of students, athletes, and the community as a whole. Since 2011, he has led the Bulldog football program to 108 wins and a 2016 state championship, while also serving students through wrestling, women’s golf, and the classroom.
More importantly, Gary has built programs centered on leadership, character development, discipline, teamwork, and academic accountability. His commitment to student growth and the overall success of North Bend High School has been evident throughout his career.
Following the recent resignation of Assistant Principal Tracy Lang, District Leadership met with Mr. Prince regarding the opportunity to step into the role permanently after successfully serving in the position earlier this year as interim assistant principal. While administrative opportunities existed elsewhere for Mr. Prince, his deep ties to North Bend, commitment to the community, and dedication to students ultimately led him to stay.
There are times when the right person, with the right credentials and a proven track record of leadership, that is already part of the team stands out, and a promotion to such a role is the right course of action for a district. This is one of those times.
Gary understands that strong relationships, school culture, student engagement, and academic success all go hand in hand. His ties to North Bend run deep, and there is no question that our brown and gold colors are pumping through his veins.
